Kilroy Oyster Point

Research, Name Exploration, Brand Identity, Logo Design, Mockups, Presentation, Collateral Design

I designed and led the process for the branding of this
$300MM+, waterfront life science development campus in
South San Francisco.

The final logo features a simplistic mark echoing the namesake's "o" and "point". The minimalist, scalable mark is meant to be bold but not distracting -- complimenting colorful, complex renderings (the main marketing tool used in real estate collateral).

The rest of the brand identity was shaped by a nautical aesthetic, as the coastal location was an important benefit in the marketing strategy. This design choice was also an effort to differentiate this life science campus from the visual identity of similar offerings.

  • Conducted background research and interviewed subject matter experts to find mission and meaning

  • Lead initial naming exploration and made presentation for executive team buy-in

  • Designed and workshopped logos, identity systems, and mock ups

  • Presented brand proposal to key stakeholders such as leasing and construction teams, marketing executives, C-suite)

  • Produced final brand toolkit (logo files, .ase swatches, sourced digital textures and photography, font files) for utilization by team members and external vendors

  • Designed a suite of collateral under established brand guidelines, including marketing suite concepts, tour golf cart wrap, water bottles and notebooks, brochures, bookmarks, and presentations
